Local percussion groups and guard groups earned berths to state finals with their weekend performances.
The Greenwood Irish Open Winter Guard placed fourth in their class and earned a spot in Indiana High School Color Guard state finals this weekend at Center Grove. Center Grove’s color guard placed third in state preliminaries.
The Greenwood Middle School Winter Guard performed at Cadet class finals at Center Grove.
The Greenwood winter percussion participated in the Winter Guard International Indianapolis Regional at Franklin Central High School. The group placed fourth in preliminary competition in their class and earned a spot in the finals on Sunday where the group had a strong performance and finished fourth in class A.
Whiteland’s winter percussion was at Ben Davis High School for the Indiana Percussion Association show and placed third in open concert class. Center Grove’s indoor percussion was fourth at the Winter Guard International Indianapolis Regional.
