GREENWOOD
A long-time resident of Greenwood, Paul Eugene Standeford died on Monday, March 5, 2018 peacefully in his home surrounded by his family. He was the second of seven boys born to Royal Persell and Alma Marie (Morton) Standeford in Washington, IN on July 25, 1927. His surviving brothers are Jerry (Lova) Standeford of Spencer and Tim Standeford of Martinsville. He graduated from Arsenal Tech and served in WWII in the US Navy. He attended Butler but graduated from Purdue and retired as an electrical engineer from Bridgeport Brass. He is survived by his wife of nearly 45 years, Nida (Peck) Standeford and his children Nancy Standeford of Houston, TX, Carol Collins of Greenwood and Lee (MaryAnne) Standeford of Atlanta, IN. Granddaughters are Kimberlee and Krista of Atlanta. Step-daughters are Nola (Larry) Garrison of New Albany and Nyla Raney of Indpls. He is preceded in death by two step-sons, Nathan (Debbie) Bain and “Andy” Parker. He has seven step-grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Paul will be dearly missed by his loved ones. There will be no services at Paul’s request. Arrangements and care were provided by Lauck & Veldhof Funeral & Cremation Services.
