EDINBURGH
Leta Etta Crawhorn, 83 of Edinburgh, Indiana, passed away March 8, 2018 at her residence. She was born June 27, 1934 in Adair County, Kentucky. She was the daughter of William H. and Josie (Burton) Burton. She married Marvin H. Crawhorn on May 15, 1948 and he preceded her in death on March 17, 1996.
She is survived by sons, Harold “Buddy” (Jackie) Crawhorn of Edinburgh, Indiana and David “Pokey” (Marilyn) Crawhorn of Edinburgh, Indiana, daughters, Regina (Don) Harris of Nicholasville, Kentucky and Brenda (Marvin) Brown of Columbus, Indiana, sister, Effie Burton of Edinburgh, Indiana, eleven grandchildren, and nineteen great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a daughter, Barbara Crawhorn, a son, Danny Crawhorn, brothers, Samuel Burton, Frank Burton, Otis Burton and Robert Burton, sisters, Vina Burton, Minnie Streeval, Maggie Curry, and Martha Eads.
She was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church in Columbus, Indiana. She retired in 1996 from United Technology where she was employed for over 30 years.
She enjoyed bus trips to gospel singing, sewing, cooking, reading her Bible, the Adair County Kentucky newspaper, and recipes.
A funeral service will be conducted on Monday, March 12, 2018 by Reverends Lewis Burton and Marvin Brown at Who-So-Ever-Will Community Church in Edinburgh, Indiana. Calling will be from 2:30 until 6:00 PM on Sunday, March 11 and from11:00 AM until time of service on Monday. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
Memorials may be made to Edinburgh Fire and Rescue or Trinity Baptist Church in Columbus.
