TAMPA, Fla. — Authorities say a Florida woman was killed in a house fire.

The Tampa Bay Times reports that the fire occurred Thursday morning at 57-year-old Valerie Denise’s Tampa home.

Tampa fire officials say a neighbor called 911 after seeing smoke. Firefighters had the fire out in about 15 minutes, but the victim was already dead when they found her.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
