BUCKEYE, Ariz. — Police in Buckeye say bones found at a farm have been confirmed as human.

Authorities say they received a call Thursday morning from someone who spotted the bones near Broadway Road and State Route 85.

Police later determined that the bones are human, but it’s unknown if they belonged to an adult or a child.

More examinations will be conducted to properly identify the bones and police say detectives are continuing to investigate the discovery.

Buckeye is about 35 miles (56 kilometers) west of Phoenix.
