PORTSMOUTH, N.H. — New Hampshire State Police say Interstate 95 in Portsmouth has been closed in both directions because of downed power lines on both sides of the highway.

WMUR-TV reports police say the wires were knocked down near the Route 33 overpass on Thursday morning.

There was no word on when the highway would reopen.

The storm has brought wet, heavy snow and knocked out power to about 60,000 customers.
