College names new finance officer

Franklin College has named a new vice president and chief financial officer.

Joseph B. Hornett was named vice president for finance and chief financial officer, serving on the President’s Cabinet.

Hornett most recently worked for the American Red Cross in Indianapolis, where he currently serves as the chief operating officer for the Indiana region. He has previously worked for the Purdue Research Foundation, MainGate, Inc., Service Corporation International, the Archdiocese of Indianapolis and Indiana Bell Telephone Company.

Hornett earned a bachelor of business administration from the University of Notre Dame and a master of business administration from Butler University.

He begins March 19.
