FARGO, N.D. — A Fargo man has been charged with murder in the death of a man at the suspect’s north side apartment.

Authorities say 29-year-old Daniel Habiger is charged in the killing of 32 year-old Jarryd Heis of Fargo. If convicted, Habiger faces life in prison without parole.

Police say Habiger called dispatchers from a convenience store shortly before 6:30 a.m. Friday and reported that he had been involved in a fight at his apartment.

Officers found the body of Heis in Habiger’s apartment. No other details have been released.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for April 5.
