GREENWOOD
Edna M. Mehringer, 88, of Greenwood, died March 2, 2018.
Edna was born on May 22, 1929 in Schnellville, to the late Oscar and Cecilia Mary (Lueken) Persohn.
She married Linus Mehringer on May 3, 1949 in Schnellville, and Linus preceded her in death March 17, 2011.
She was a faithful member of Our Lady of The Greenwood Catholic Church and worked for Our Lady of The Greenwood Catholic Schools in the cafeteria for 32-plus years.
She enjoyed playing euchre with the ladies of various card clubs.
She is survived by three daughters, Gail (Joe) Simpson, Susie (Terry) Zeigler and Denise (Brian) Eubanks, three sons, Michael (Kathy) Mehringer, Joseph Mehringer and William (Debbie) Mehringer; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 7 at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory, Greenwood Chapel, 481 W. Main St., Greenwood, with a rosary service at 7:30 p.m. Additional calling will be Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of The Greenwood Catholic Church. Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
