Softball wins pair, stays perfect
Franklin College kept its unbeaten record intact with a pair of victories in Clermont, Florida, on Monday.
In its first game of the day, the Grizzlies (6-0) scored three runs in the first inning and pushed across six in the second to pave the way to a 10-2 win over Wartburg. Olivia Paszek pitched a complete game, yielding just three hits.
A few hours later, freshman catcher Natalie Weber drew a bases-loaded walk in the seventh inning to break a tie and help Franklin secure a 5-3 victory against Mount Union. Kayla Selzer earned the win in relief.
