Madonna Call Brunson

FORT MYERS, FLA.

Madonna Call Brunson, 94, died Feb. 24 at Hospice House in Fort Myers, Florida.

She was the widow of Robert James Brunson.

Madonna was born April 26, 1923 in Greencastle to Ralph Call and Jessie Evans Call.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, a sister and a brother.

She is survived by three sons, Joseph Brunson of Indiana, William Brunson of Texas and Stephen Brunson of Florida, and two daughters, Mary Webber of Florida and Becky Laremore of Alabama; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Madonna was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

She will be remembered for her love of family, music and flowers.

A firm believer in the importance of education and reading, Madonna worked as an educational consultant for World Book.

Madonna graduated from Greencastle High School and attended Franklin College.

She married Bob, the love of her life, on June 26, 1943, and celebrated 71 years together before his death.

The family plans a joint memorial in Indianapolis in June, honoring Madonna, Bob, and their 75th wedding anniversary.

Memorials may be made to Hospice or the charity of choice.
