BATON ROUGE, La. — Police in Louisiana say two teenagers have been charged in connection with the shooting death of a man who was found dead in a backyard of a home.
Police tell news outlets that 18-year-old Kendrick Wesley and a 17-year-old were arrested Wednesday and charged with first-degree murder. Arrest warrants show that they’re brothers.
According to Baton Rouge police, 20-year-old Charles Bowah was found shot-to-death in the backyard of a home Monday.
Investigators say Bowah was shot during a drug deal, but the police reports do not address who is accused of pulling the trigger.
When police searched the teenager’s apartment Wednesday, they found marijuana, headphones that they believe belonged to Bowah and a black semi-automatic pistol.
It’s unclear if the teenagers have lawyers.
