Clarence W. Goley

WHITELAND

Clarence William Goley, 89, passed away in Indianapolis on February 28, 2018. He was a resident of Whiteland.

He was born on November 7, 1928 in Franklin, to Clarence E. and Lillian (White) Goley.

He married Reba (Crist) L’Deen Goley on October 14, 1951. She lovingly survives.

Other survivors include a daughter, Michele (Steve) Marshall of Nashville; and granddaughter, Katherine Goley Marshall, also of Nashville.

Clarence is preceded in passing by his parents and brother, Robert Goley who passed in 2015.

Clarence was a 1947 graduate of Franklin Community High School.

He was a member of the Indiana National Guard in the 1950s.

Clarence spent his life working on his family’s farm. He was always willing to try something new, such as raising goats on the farm and selling their milk.

He was an avid rose gardener. His rose garden was a location for the local hospital’s tour in 2000.

Clarence enjoyed collecting and restoring old Buicks in his free time.

Clarence was an active member in the Hoosier Convertible Club and Buick Club.

Clarence also attended Tabernacle Christian Church with his wife.

Rev. Evie Stuard will conduct a celebration of Clarence’s life on Saturday, March 3 at 2 p.m. at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 N. Morton St. (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin. Friends may call on Saturday from 11 a.m. to the time at service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Second Mount Pleasant Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made on behalf of Clarence’s life to Clarity of South Central Indiana.
