County residents who need important documents shredded or need to get rid of an old electronic can attend a free event later this month.
The Johnson County Recycling District and Shares, Inc. will host a document shredding and electronics collection event from 9 a.m. to noon March 10 at the district office, 900 Arvin Rd., Suite A in Franklin.
The event is free and open to Johnson County residents and businesses.
Documents will be collected in locked containers and shredded off-site at Shares, Inc. in Shelbyville.
Electronics also will be accepted. Televisions or computer monitors will not be accepted at this event.
