Join in the farce: ‘Round and Round the Garden’ coming to Theatre Margot

Franklin College thespians will perform a comedy by Alan Ayckbourn.

“Round and Round the Garden” will be at 8 p.m. March 14 through March 17 and 2 p.m. March 18 at Théâtre Margot in the Johnson Center for Fine Arts on the college’s campus.

General admission is $12. Admission for each performance is $8 for students and seniors.

Tired of waiting for her neighbor Tom to sweep her off her feet while she cares for her cranky mother, Annie plans a secret weekend tryst with her brother-in-law, Norman. Her brother, Reg, and his wife, Sarah, arrive to care for Mother. Norman appears and has to pretend he has come to visit. When Norman’s wife also comes to visit Mother and Tom stops by, complications and misunderstandings pile up in this modern farce.

The show is directed by Robin Roberts, professor of theater.
