LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Entergy Arkansas has filed a request with state regulators to pass along about $466 million to customers in savings that the company is receiving under the new federal tax law.
The utility filed its plan this week with the Arkansas Public Service Commission. If approved, Entergy customers would begin seeing credits to their bills beginning in April.
Entergy says residential customers would see a savings of about $20 per month for every 1,000 kilowatt-hours used.
According to the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette , the lower rates would run from April 2018 to December 2019 if approved.
Entergy Arkansas provides electricity to about 700,000 homes and businesses in 63 counties in the state.
