JACKSON, Miss. — Police are searching for two men accused in a robbery and auto theft including one man who escaped police custody in Mississippi.

Jackson Police Sgt. Roderick Holmes told news outlets on Sunday that 37-year-old Fredrick Harper and 48-year-old Bernard Caston are wanted in connection to a man being robbed and his vehicle stolen. The vehicle was stopped when Harper ran away.

Holmes says Caston was apprehended and placed in handcuffs, but managed to escape police custody. Caston was still handcuffed at the time of his escape.

Holmes told the Clarion-Ledger that Caston and Harper will be charged related to the robbery and auto theft when they are found.
