CONCORD, N.H. — It’s Girl Scout Cookie Weekend in New Hampshire.

Republican Gov. Chris Sununu has issued a proclamation honoring the scouts and their fundraising efforts.

The weekend highlights successful Girl Scout cookie entrepreneurs throughout New Hampshire and Vermont and the positive changes that cookie earnings make possible for girls year-round. One hundred percent of the net revenue girls raise through cookie sales funds local council and troop programs and community service projects.

Girls set goals to decide how they want to invest the funds they earn from their sales. Many develop and implement community projects, while others decide to go to Girl Scout camp and take on outdoor challenges such as rock climbing, paddling, wood working and learning survival skills.
