New clothing boutique relocates to Franklin

A new boutique selling mostly women’s clothing has relocated to Franklin.

Simply Styled Boutique is open at 114 E. Jefferson St.

The boutique sells women’s clothing and accessories and relocated from Martinsville.

Hours are 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.

Credit union gets new card to help fight cancer

Indiana Members Credit Union has announced Ovar’coming Together as the new beneficiary for its Cancer Awareness Debit Card.

The union’s card provides an opportunity to support many different types of cancer by benefiting a different local cancer related organization each year. A portion of each signature based transaction made with this card March 1, 2018 through February 28, 2019, up to $10,000, will be donated to Ovar’coming Together, Indiana’s nonprofit resource and education organization for ovarian cancer

The card is available for members at all central Indiana locations.

Local college names new vice president

Franklin College has named Dana S. Cummings as vice president for development and alumni engagement, serving on the president’s cabinet.

With more than 11 years of development experience in higher education, Cummings comes to Franklin from DePauw University where she currently serves as the associate vice president for development. She has previously worked for a variety of Indiana University divisions in frontline development roles, including the schools of optometry and education, and for the Indiana University Foundation.

Cummings earned a Bachelor of Arts from DePauw University, a Master of Public Affairs from Indiana University and holds her Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) designation from the Association of Fundraising Professionals.

Cummings will begin her new role at Franklin in early March.

Allergy specialist on southside bought

Family Allergy and Asthma, a Louisville-based regional allergy and asthma medical practice, has purchases the Adult & Pediatric Allergy Specialists practice of the late Paul Isenberg, MD, who passed away in December.

The office will reopen Tuesday under the Family Allergy & Asthma name.

The office is at 8937 Southpointe Drive, Suite C2, Indianapolis and is the second location for Family Allergy & Asthma in the Indianapolis area and seventh in Indiana.
