LOS ANGELES — Kristen Simon scored 16 points with 15 rebounds and buried the game-winning 3-pointer in overtime with 1.3 seconds remaining to lift USC over Utah 53-52 on Thursday night.

After Minyon Moore made a jump shot with 34 seconds left to bring the Trojans within 52-50, Utah’s Emily Potter missed a shot with time expiring on the shot clock, and USC called a timeout to set up Simon whose basket marked the Trojans only lead in overtime.

Simon’s jumper with 3:38 left in regulation gave USC (18-10, 8-9 Pac-12) a 45-43 lead. Tilar Clark made 1 of 2 free throws with 1:48 left, Potter made 1 of 2 to tie it. Utah’s Megan Jacobs missed two foul shots with 12 seconds left to send it to overtime.

Sadie Edwards scored 13 points and Aliyah Mazyck added 10 for USC.

Potter led Utah (17-11, 8-9) with 20 points and 15 rebounds and Clark scored 12.
