Mansford ‘Bud’ Howe

Mansford “Bud” Howe, 97 of Greenwood passed away February 16, 2018. Mansford was born in Perry County, Indiana to Daniel and Lilly Howe on September 22, 1920. Mansford proudly served his country in the United States Navy during WWII. Mansford retired from Western Electric as a Sheet Metal Analyst in 1983 after 32 years. Some of his hobbies included, hunting, fishing, golfing and bowling. He enjoyed working outside, especially in the yard. He also enjoyed woodworking. He loved his family and will be greatly missed. Mansford is preceded in death by his parents; five siblings; step-son, Douglas Myers; step-daughter, Marilyn Gregory. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 43 years, Ruth (Rieke) Myers Howe; son, Stephen (Cathy) Howe; step-son, Gary (Sara) Myers; daughter, Sandra (Mike) Blackwell; step-daughter, Karen (Ronald) Oakes; 20 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, February 22, 2018 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 S. State Road 135, Greenwood, IN 46143 with visitation from 12:00 PM until the start of service. In Lieu of flowers Memorial Contributions can be made to The Little Red Door Cancer Society, 1801 N. Meridian St., Indianapolis, IN 46202.
