EXETER, R.I. — Three people have been charged with stealing cash and what police say was a large quantity of marijuana from a home in Exeter.

State police say 19-year-old Jarod Bourbonniere, of Coventry, 19-year-old Ryan White, of Exeter, and a juvenile broke into the house on Feb. 10.

They say White and the juvenile assaulted the 60-year-old man living in the house and took $4,000 in cash, a handgun and the drugs. Police say Bourbonniere drove the getaway car.

Police say the stolen gun was recovered during a separate investigation by the North Kingstown Police Department.

Bourbonniere and White were being held on bonds of $25,000 pending their arraignments on robbery, assault and other charges.

The other suspect has been handed over to juvenile authorities.
