Greenwood financial adviser earns award

A Greenwood financial adviser has earned an award.

Janette Koon qualified for the 2018 Waddell and Reed Crest Award.

The award is given to the most productive advisers inĀ  the firm.

Koon has worked in financial services for more than 30 years.

Crane Credit Union names new BSA officer

Crane Credit Union has promoted Jenni Long to BSA Officer.

Long spent the past seven years in the financial services industry after a two-year stint in the United States Army. She joined Crane Credit Union in October 2010 as a member service representative at the Camp Atterbury facility. She became the centralized loan auditor in 2017.

She lives in Johnson County.

Mortgage officer honored as top loan originator

A loan originator who works out of Ruoff Home Mortgage’s Greenwood office was the top loan originator company-wide in January.

Donnie Dodson earned the top spot that is based on the number of loans closed during the month. Dodson has been with Ruoff Home Mortgage since May 2015. He has won the top spot several times.

Ruoff Home Mortgage has more than 30 branches across Indiana, Ohio, Michigan and Florida.

Community foundation elects officers, board

The Johnson County Community Foundation has elected the following officers and new board members for 2018:

  • Vice Chairwoman, Virginia Davis, retired, community volunteer
  • Secretary, Marcia Grossnickle, retired, community volunteer

Local financial firm names new adviser

A Greenwood financial planning business has named a new adviser.

Evan Fruits has joined Koon Financial Planning and Consulting as a financial adviser.

Fruits is a graduate of Indiana Universityā€™s Kelley School of Business.

His experiences includes years spent in mutual fund accounting and stock market analysis. In his role at Koon Financial, Fruits is responsible for assisting clients to achieve their financial objectives through financial planning, investment advising, security analysis and portfolio management.

Graphic design company moves to Greenwood

SlyFox Creative has a new home at 601 Sayre Court, Greenwood.

SlyFox is part of a locally owned and operated corporation, the Excel Group. Excel started in construction and maintenance of retail, convenience stores and gas stations and has branched out over the years.

SlyFox Creative is the graphic design and print division of the group.
