GREENWOOD
Connie Sue (Fisher) Kidwell 87, of Greenwood, IN passed away Friday May 21, 2021 at Aspen Trace Health and Living in Greenwood, IN.
She was born May 24, 1933 in New Harmony, Indiana to Asher Dale Fisher and Belva Frieda (Hanes) Fisher. She married John Kidwell, he preceded her in death on July 1, 2008.
She was a 1951 graduate of Greenwood High School. She had been a dental assistant for Byford Reed D.D.S. in Greenwood for 47 years retiring in 2010.
Connie was a member of Southland Community Church in Greenwood and a former member of the Community Church of Greenwood. She loved and cherished being a member of the church choir, loved traveling and spending time with family and friends. She had served in nine medical mission trips to El Salvador.
Survivors include her son Gregory S. “Greg” Wood (Deborah) of Trafalgar, IN, her daughter Linda D. Wood (Faye Sitzman) of Omaha, NE, three grandsons Benjamin Wood (Emily) of Oshkosh, WI, Skyler Lewis (Melissa) of Omaha, NE and Asher Lewis (fiance Michelle Vidlak) of Omaha, NE and one great granddaughter Isla Wood. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and former spouse William “Bill” Wood.
Pastor Dean Jones will conduct a service on Tuesday May 25, 2021 at 2 PM at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin, IN and will be live-streamed for family and friends to connect at www.swartzmortuary.com/obituary/connie-kidwell.
