BILLINGS, Mont. — Yellowstone County officials have released the name of a 55-year-old man whose body was found in a sleeping bag near a business on the west side of Billings.

Deputy Coroner Richard Hoffman says exposure to the cold may have been a mitigating factor in the death of Steve Aalgaard, whose body was found on Tuesday. However, he can’t determine a cause of death until he receives the results of toxicology tests. Such tests can take up to two months to process.

Hoffman says there was nothing suspicious about Aalgaard’s death.
