HARRINGTON, Maine — The Maine Marine Patrol says the body of a 62-year-old shellfish harvester has been found by a local fisherman working with the service.

Delbert Caler of Harrington went missing Wednesday night and his body was discovered Thursday morning. The marine patrol says Caler was a licensed shellfish harvester.

The patrol says Caler’s body was found a half mile away from Lower Wass Cove on the Pleasant River. Clamming gear believed to be his was located in the area earlier in the morning.

The patrol says Caler’s body is being transferred to the medical examiner’s office for confirmation of cause of death.
