BISMARCK, N.D. — Officials are studying a potential route for vehicles including trucks on U.S. Highway 83 to bypass the commercial area in Bismarck north of Interstate 94.
The Bismarck-Mandan Metropolitan Planning Organization says the study will look at potential routes and identify possible improvements for the State Street corridor in north Bismarck.
The group is seeking public input and will hold three public meetings with the help of Bismarck, Burleigh County, the state Transportation Department and a consultant.
The Bismarck Tribune reports the federal government is paying most of the study’s $285,000 cost.
