RALEIGH, N.C. — Police in North Carolina are investigating after a man was found shot to death.

Raleigh police spokeswoman Donna-maria Harris said in a news release that officers were called around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday to a report of a shooting.

Officers arrived and found 43-year-old Vernon Jerome Jefferys dead at the scene. No one has been arrested.

Police are continuing to investigate the shooting.
