When a Bargersville teen was late coming home on Monday night, her family became worried and started looking for her.
Moyra A. McCain, 16, was found trapped and seriously injured in a crash near county roads 450W and 150N, southwest of Bargersville.
Before she was found in her vehicle just after midnight on Monday, her family had reported her missing to police and began searching for her, according to police reports.
Shortly after police got the call from her family, an officer was called to the one-vehicle accident, where a vehicle had gone off the road. Officers determined the driver was McCain, and the vehicle was what her family had said she was driving, the report said.
Emergency workers got McCain out of the vehicle, and found she had serious injuries, including severe head trauma and a possible broken arm, according to the accident report.
McCain was taken to Indiana University Health Methodist Hospital on a medical helicopter.
