EDGEWOOD, N.M. — State police are investigating a fatal shooting at a gas station in Edgewood.

Authorities say a man armed with a semi-automatic handgun had robbed and shot a worker at the Smith’s Fuel Center late Sunday afternoon.

The worker later died at a hospital. The victim’s identity hasn’t been released.

Police say the suspect had been wearing a bandanna over his face.

They haven’t confirmed a vehicle description or determined what was taken during the robbery.
