A Prince’s Lakes man accidentally shot himself Friday morning while showing a handgun to a friend.
The man was showing a handgun to a friend at his home on South Stewart Drive around 11 am. Friday when he shot himself in the hand, Prince’s Lakes Town Marshal Greg Southers said.
The man told emergency workers that he didn’t realize the handgun was loaded, he said. He was taken to Indiana University Health Methodist Hospital for treatment. His condition was not available Friday.
No one else was injured, Southers said.
