FRESNO, Calif. — A California gang member was arrested after police found multiple guns, body armor and more than 500 rounds of ammunition in his vehicles.

The Fresno Bee reports the Fresno Police Department says a 39-year-old East Side Crip gang member was at his home Friday when authorities arrived and found four cars, all registered in his name.

Officers seized more than 500 rounds of ammunition of various calibers, two rifles, a handgun and a ballistic vest.

Authorities say the gang member is a convicted felon who is prohibited from owning or possessing weapons, ammunition and body armor.

The gang member was booked Friday into Fresno County Jail.
