Floyd Carlin Lucas

FRANKLIN

Floyd Carlin Lucas, 89, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, February 9, 2018 at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Franklin. He was a resident of Franklin.

He was born on August 8, 1928 in Cincinnati, OH to Lucian Bruce and Gladys Marie (Hogue) Lucas. Floyd married Betty Lee Durbin on August 28th, 1949. She preceded him in passing. Survivors include their children, Steven C. Lucas of Mooresville; Gay Ann LaGrange of Franklin and Scott R. Lucas of Franklin; four grandsons, Matthew LaGrange, Wesley Lucas, Nathan (Jill) LaGrange and Jacob (Jonnie) Lucas; five great grandchildren, Hunter and Keira Lucas; Owen and Aaron LaGrange; Karson Lucas; brothers Stanley Lucas (Frieda); Bruce Lucas (Linda); sister Millie Weidenhaupt (Bill); sister-in-law Alice Lucas; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in passing by his parents; siblings Glancy Lucas; Barbara Stevens Wilson; Dallas Lucas; and Preston Lucas.

Floyd was a graduate of Nineveh High School class of 1946.

He was a veteran of the United States Air Force.

Floyd retired from Naval Avionics in 1987.

A graveside service will be conducted on Monday, February 12, 2018 at 2:00pm at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin. Flinn & Maguire F.H. in Franklin is handling arrangements.
