ABILENE, Texas — Jaren Lewis had 20 points and 17 rebounds on Saturday and Abilene Christian led by double digits for most of the second half in an 80-69 win over Incarnate Word.

Tevin Foster was 3 of 5 from 3-point range and added 17 points for the Wildcats (15-11, 7-6 Southland), who pulled away with a 9-0 run to lead by 18 early in the second half. Abilene Christian had its largest lead at 68-49 and the Cardinals (5-17, 0-12) got no closer than the final score.

Incarnate Word trailed 44-28 at halftime but scored the first seven points of the second half, the only time it would get the deficit within single digits after the break.

Lewis had eight offensive rebounds and the Wildcats had a 17-7 edge on the offensive glass.

Keaton Hervey led Incarnate Word with 17 points and Charles Brown III scored 13.
