PELHAM, N.H. — A New Hampshire man says his neighbor threatened him with an axe over snow removal.

Pelham resident Sam Mousa says he was plowing Wednesday night when he was confronted by his neighbor Eric Chojnacki (hoy-NA’-kee) carrying an axe. WMUR-TV reports Mousa alleged Chojnacki was angry about Mousa pushing snow onto his lawn, which Mousa denies.

Mousa says his son called police while the two neighbors ended up getting into a fight. Both face charges now, Chojnacki with criminal threatening and Mousa with assault.

Mousa says he questions why he was charged. Chojnacki couldn’t be reached for comment.

Both men will be arraigned at later dates.
