BALTIMORE — The entirety of Baltimore’s Metro SubwayLink system will be closed this weekend for emergency repairs.
The Baltimore Sun reports the Maryland Department of Transportation Maryland Transit Administration announced the closure Thursday night in a release.
The release says repairs will include a track replacement that had originally been scheduled for summer, but closer inspection showed that some of the repair needed to be completed now.
It says the system, which normally runs about every eight to 15 minutes, is expected to be back in service by Monday morning.
