PHOENIX — Arizona Department of Corrections officials say an inmate at a minimum-security prison has escaped from a work crew.

They say Skyler Martin walked away from a supervised off-site work crew Thursday near the area of South 27th Avenue.

Corrections officials say they have dispatched chase teams and fugitive apprehension units to find Martin.

Phoenix police also is assisting in the search.

Corrections officials say Martin was housed at the state prison-Phoenix West.

He was sentenced to 7 ½ years for aggravated DUI out of Maricopa County and was sent to prison in April 2017.
