NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. — The U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds will be in South Carolina later this year.
The Air Force demonstration team will be in the skies over North Charleston on April 28 during Joint Base Charleston’s Air and Space Expo.
Joint Base Charleston is hosting the Lowcountry’ s first military expo since 2011.
Base spokesman Marvin Krause says the Thunderbirds’ F-16 Flying Falcon jets will participate in a 45-minute demonstration during the free show.
The Thunderbirds are based at Nellis Air Force Base in Nevada and have been performing around the world since 1953.
