Two found unresponsive in stopped car, arrested after police administer Narcan

Two Greenwood residents were arrested and police had to administer Narcan after they were found unresponsive in a vehicle on U.S. 31, police said.

While driving south on U.S. 31, around 5:30 a.m. Saturday, a deputy saw a driver slumped over in a car that was stopped at the County Line Road intersection at a green light, a Johnson County Sheriff’s Office report said.

The deputy knocked on the window, but was unable to wake up the driver or the passenger, who was also slumped over, the report said.

The deputy opened the passenger side door and administered Narcan to Dottie May, 19, who said she had used a combination of drugs and alcohol, the report said. A Greenwood police officer also came to the scene and checked on the driver, Gary Miller, 20. Both were taken to a hospital to be checked out, the report said.

May and Miller, 660 Wooddale Terrace, Apt. 11, were arrested by the Indiana Metropolitan Police Department and taken to the Marion County jail.
