CHARLESTON, S.C. — A man has been arrested in the weekend shooting death of another South Carolina man.

Charleston police spokesman Charles Francis told local media that 22-year-old Taylin Greene is charged with murder and possession of a gun during a violent crime.

Francis says officers were called around 8 p.m. Sunday and found a man who was unresponsive after being shot.

Twenty-four-year-old Corey Gabe Jr. of Charleston was taken to the Medical University of South Carolina Hospital where he died.

Francis says Greene was found nearby. It was not known if he has an attorney yet.

Police have not released a motive in the shooting.
