Martha V. Key

INDIANAPOLIS

Martha V. Key, 88, of Indianapolis, passed away February 2, 2018. She was born October 27, 1929 in Indianapolis to the late Clarence Jessup and Edith (Crump) Jessup.

Martha was married to Bernie Key who preceded her in death in 1990.

She graduated from Tech High School and was an executive secretary for City Securities Corporation for 45 years.

Martha was a member of Bluff Creek Christian Church and most recently Carmel Christian Church. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Colonial Dames of 17th Century, Eastern Star (for over 50 years) and she also volunteered at the Whiteland Food Pantry. She enjoyed traveling and genealogy.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at Shirley Brothers Washington Memorial Chapel, 9606 E. Washington Street, Indianapolis, IN, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., with the funeral service to follow at 12:00 p.m.

Martha is survived by her son, Barry A. Key; granddaughter, Shanelle Marcengill (Lynn); grandson, Shane Key; great-grandchildren, Lilli, Owen, Faith and Trey; niece, Micki Ingalls; nephews, Tom Ingalls, Dick Ingalls (Missy) and Gene Ingalls (Kyle).

She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Melodie Key; brother, Francis Jessup; and sister, Dorothy Ingalls.
