Wayne Gordon Groves, 78, of Indianapolis, passed away February 1, 2018.
He was born August 9, 1939 in Portland, Tennessee, to his parents Bessie L. (Searcy) and Jesse L. Groves.
Survivors include his wife, Edith P. Groves; sons, Danny L. (Roberta) Groves of Whiteland and Carl D. (Dave) (Phyllis) Groves of Indianapolis, daughter, Peggy J. (Lloyd) Phelps of Somerset, Kentucky; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
He was proceeded in death by his parents; father-in-law, John Andrews, mother-in-law, Nellie Andrews; and brothers, Herbert, Hylas, Harold and Gary.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at 1 p.m. at Bell Mortuary & Crematory, Shangrila Chapel, 1444 W. U.S. 52, Fountaintown, IN 46130. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 6, 2018 from 11 a.m. until the time of service at the mortuary. Burial will be at Asbury Cemetery in Morristown.
