TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Authorities say a Florida school bus hit and injured a pedestrian.

The Tallahassee Democrat reports that the bus was heading to Griffin Middle School Friday morning when it hit the person.

A Leon County Schools spokesman says the victim was taken to a nearby hospital. The person’s name and the severity of their injuries weren’t immediately released.

Officials say the bus had been carrying about 30 students, and another bus came to the scene to take them to school while Tallahassee police investigated. No injuries were reported to the students.
