MANCHESTER, N.H. — New Hampshire police say an argument on social media escalated to an in-person fight, where one person brought a gun to threaten the other.

Manchester police say the 23-year-old Nashua man agreed to show up Tuesday night to fight a 22-year-old man he had been arguing with on social media. The Nashua Telegraph reports there were numerous witnesses to the event, as both men told several friends about the fight.

Police say the suspect pulled out a gun and approached the victim, who attempted to flee the area in his car. One of the victim’s friends took down the suspect by hitting him with his car.

The victim contacted police, who took the suspect into custody and charged him with criminal threatening.

Police said Wednesday the investigation is ongoing.
