HELENA, Mont. — A Montana man died after his snowmobile struck a tree north of Lincoln.

Lewis and Clark County Coroner Bryan Backeberg tells the Independent Record the man was with a group of snowmobilers when he hit the tree early Friday afternoon. No one else was involved in the crash or injured

Backeberg says the victim was a Great Falls man in his mid-40s. His name was being withheld until family members could be notified.
