ANCHORAGE, Alaska — A 32-year-old Alaska man has been sentenced to 35 years in federal prison for producing and distributing child pornography.

Federal prosecutors Friday said Christopher Duane Davis of Fairbanks after his prison term also faces a lifetime term of supervised release.

His girlfriend, 27-year-old Charity Germain, was sentenced in December to 22 years in prison on the same charges.

Prosecutors say Germain and Davis starting in June 2015 babysat for children, sexually abused them and recorded the abuse.

Davis shared images and video on the internet.

The Australian government identified Davis’s profile on a foreign-based photo-sharing site in late 2016, triggering a U.S. investigation.

Davis in emails to an undercover law enforcement officer described his access to children.

Homeland Security Investigations conducted the investigation.
