Letter: Column reminds writer about growing up a Campbell’s kid

To the editor:

I really enjoyed “Soup perfect food for winter months” by Norman Knight. (Jan. 17).  It was spot on about soup. I, too, was a Campbell’s soup kid, as are many in Franklin because when I shopped for soup right before the snow, a certain grocery was totally out of tomato soup.

The top three soups — tomato, chicken noodle and mushroom — are a staple in my pantry even today. Sometimes it’s just nice after a busy day to heat up a can of tomato soup and make a grilled cheese.

The only thing is, I wish he would have shared the name of the book he was reading about soup!
