Gun, tools stolen in Greenwood burglaries

A gun, electronics and tools were among the items stolen from four vehicles overnight Wednesday at apartment complexes in Greenwood.

Three residents at Devonshire Apartments and one at Honey Creek Apartments reported having items stolen from their vehicles, Greenwood Police Department reports said.

The apartment complexes are adjacent to each other on the east side of State Road 135, south of Curry Road.

One resident at Devonshire Apartments told police that someone had broken out the passenger side window of his car and had stolen a laptop and tablet. Another resident had four purses stolen, and a third had tools stolen from a toolbox in the bed of a truck, the reports said.

At Honeycreek Apartments, a resident told police that a bow and muzzle-loading gun were stolen from his truck, along with a pair of boots. The window had been broken, the report said.
