Clyde Johnson

Clyde Johnson, 87, of Greenwood, passed away on Wednesday, January 17, 2018.

He was born to the late Clay Johnson and Ollie McQuary in 1930. He married the love of his life, Jean Neel who survives. Clyde was a very successful person. He owned Johnsons Well Drilling, and Pump Service for 50+ years. In his down time, Clyde was an avid hunter and loved to go fishing. He won many awards in trap shooting. For 16 years in a row, he loved going out west to go elk hunting, and deer hunting. His favorite was quail hunting. Annually, he and his buddy, Odie Isom would make the trip to go experience the Daytona 500. He loved watching NASCAR and drag racing. He loved to spend time with his son, going to Masterpiece car lot and looking at the classic cars. He also enjoyed looking at real estate.

Clyde is survived by his wife, three children: Terry (Karen) Johnson of Franklin, Rita (Gary) Jones of North Fort Myers, FL, and Angie (Charlie) Masheck of Edinburgh; two brothers, Glenn Johnson of Russell Springs, KY and Dale Bennett of Russell Springs, KY; and five grandchildren, Tony Johnson, Brian (Tai) Johnson, Andrea (Justin) Jett, Jenna Masheck, and Jake Masheck.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Jean Winston and Geraldine Devers.

A visitation will be Sunday January 21st from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Jessen Funeral Home, Whiteland Chapel.  A funeral service will be Monday January 22nd at 10 a.m. Burial will be at Acton Cemetery following the services.
