Stephen C. Stonehocker

FRANKLIN

Stephen C. Stonehocker, 65, of Franklin, Indiana, passed away January 12, 2018 at Saint Francis Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was born August 8, 1952 in San Fernando, California. He was the son of Chester J. and Micki (Chaput) Stonehocker. He married Judy (Taylor) Stonehocker on June 8, 1984.

He is survived by his mother, Micki Stonehocker of Bend, Oregon, his wife, Judy of Franklin, Indiana, son, Brad (Jennifer) Pence of Prineville, Oregon, daughters, Stacie (Eric) Bushaw of Bend, Oregon and Cheryl (Abraham) Williams of Redmond, Oregon, sisters, Carrie (Dennis) Joye of Bend, Oregon and Chrissy (Jeff) Myers of Washington, and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father and a grandson.

He served in the US Navy from 1971-1993. During part of his service he was assigned to a nuclear sub and later retired as a Senior Chief Petty Officer. He was employed at Sonoco Flexible Packaging where he worked as a lab technician. He was a member of the VFW in Franklin, Indiana and the Chicago Mid-West Regional Joint Board, #1490.

He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was an avid golfer, and enjoyed playing pool, bowling, reading old western and drama books. He was a New York Yankee, Indianapolis Colts, and NASCAR fan.

A Celebration of Life service will be conducted at 6:00 PM, Monday, January 15, 2018 by Reverend Darren Burton at Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in Edinburgh, Indiana. Calling will be from 5:00 PM until time of service.
